Lorenza, 60 years old, is the very happy and hard-working mother of a family. She lives in her own house with her husband Paulino, who is 64, and her son Heiler, who is 12. They are the motive for all her efforts. The business to which she is dedicated sells parts for second-hand automobiles. Though she is aware that it is a business in which men predominate, she feels very confident in being able to compete without prejudice. It is for that reason that she decided to work very hard, and feels that little by little, her efforts are providing the fruit that she hoped for, enabling her to help in her home. What she likes most about the work is selling parts. She has 30 years experience and considers the most difficult part to be obtaining the parts, since she has to trek through the streets of the city of Juliaca in search of them. Over time, she hope that her business will grow and offer the necessary income for her son to complete his studies. This is Lorenza's second loan through MFP, and she feels the responsibility to pay on time, since she wants to gain access to many more. The members of her communal bank feel much affection for her.
