Anne Nzeba is the leader of a group of 25 micro-entrepreneurs called “Développement Plus”. These members are committed to each other in solidarity to benefit from micro-loans from the lenders of the world via Kiva and the micro-finance institution HOPE RDC with the goal of supporting their businesses. Anne sells cassava flour and cornmeal at the market located in the most mountainous area southwest of the city of Kinshasa. She really likes her business, which she started several years ago. She intends to diversify, thanks to the loan she’ll receive shortly. Her ambition is to expand her business in order to grow her revenues. This is going to enable her to cover her children’s schooling. Anne is married and the mother of eight children, ranging from 13 to 16 years of age.
