The Women of the New Millennium Communal Bank is located in the Montecristi division of the beautiful and bountiful province of Manabí, located in Ecuador’s coastal region. This area is known for its handicrafts (the best straw hats in the world), traditional dishes, natural beauty, and friendly people. This Communal Bank consists of enterprising women who are looking to provide their families with a better quality of life.Sra. Celmira Arteaga lives in this beautiful place. She is happily married and the mother of two children. For four years, Celmira has been trading out of a small bazaar she established out of her home. She has increased her inventory with Yanbal beauty products such as makeup, shampoo, and other items. Since she has small children, she is not able to go out and sell her products door-to-door.
With this new loan from Fundación ESPOIR, she wants to invest in merchandise such as household products, gift items, perfumes, clothing, shoes, and other goods so that she can expand her bazaar and increase her inventory to satisfy her demanding customers this Christmas.
Celmira dreams of finishing her education so that she can become a professional. She hopes that her children will be able to do the same when they are older.
